Cleaning your granite, quartz or marble surfaces
Hard water areas:
If you are in a hard water area and you find limescale builds up around your sink, or in your drainage groves, over a period of time, use a weak bleach mixture (5 parts water, 1 part bleach) and this should remove it, but for stronger cleaning consult http://www.lithofin.com.

How to care for your granite or quartz:
It is almost impossible to stain or scratch the granite or quartz, during routine use in a kitchen, but we still coat the material with a silicone based sealant after installation, that will never need re-applying, providing you steer clear of strong acid-based cleaners.
But it is a popular misconception that you are able to stain granite or quartz with acid-based food stuffs.
Routine cleaning of granite & quartz:
The best thing for routine cleaning is either diluted soap (eg fairy liquid) or there is a range of cleaners on the market called the Method range, all the range is totally organic, but includes a mild acid to kill germs and they do a specific product for granite.
For routine wiping and cleaning use paper towels or a glass cleaning cloth, especially with black granites to avoid smears.
